Lol wtf... this is simply a matter of reserving bias and steryotyping, there is no need for personal vendettas against a person you have no idea about on the internet.

If we wanted to play them, we wouldn't have bothered with Guild Wars. The fact we are still around is testimony of our loyalty this game and community.

WAIT.... hmmmm... what does cheating have to do with posting on a thread???

it's really funny, some of you are really desperate at this point, you don't even know what to hold on, what to accuse people of...

I understand, you are angry, you did something a couple of times, no wait, 4 times, no WAIT... 7 times, and you got caught.

awwwww
As I remember, you engaged in the trolling, and the flaming, first, but what do I know, I'm just a banned Guild Wars member, no one should listen to me, I'm a bad man....awwwwww.

People PAID money for the product.
If Anet insists on a Perma Ban, fine, give em their money back.
No way EVER could i agree that some nonsense in game exploit/whatever justifies them taking away the persons PAID for product
This arguement has no standing at all and is the perfect example as to why players need to read their user agreements.

When purchasing Guild Wars, the only thing you own is the box it came in. Anet can't take that away. What you don't own is everything else. You're not buying the game. You're purchasing the rights to access the service. You do not own the files, your character, your character names, your armor, your weapons, your gold, or anything else. It does NOT belong to you. It is no different than purchasing the HBO package. You do not own those channels. You do not own the shows, the movies, or the OnDemand access. All you have is the right to view it and if you break the contract of that service the provider can cut you off.

This is why some of us do not, under any circumstances, toy with exploits, or possible exploits because we either a) Read our Terms of Service and know full well our service can be cut off without warning because of it and irregardless of what prior events took place, or b) Use our head and realize, without ever reading our Terms of Service, that there's too much risk involved to walk that line in the first place to make a quick buck that doesn't belong to me to begin with.

Just because you bought a box with a Key doesn't mean you have free reign on a service you do not own in any way, shape, or form.

The spl0iterz have a lot of time logged on their accounts => no ban deserved

Chinese farmers have a lot of time logged on their accounts => Chinese farmers should never be banned

Implications of this 'logic'? Idle on GW for all your worth, log up as much time as possible, run spl0itz like a mofo, and you wont be banned!

yay!

You may be right about WOW. WHen i posted this i was thinking of D2 mainly, I have never played WOW. D2 is so badly hacked though it is a joke, and anyone that has ever played it knows what i am talking about.

I apologize I should have been more specific about what game I was talking about.

He also needs to start kicking out the people who were sitting at the tables next to the one table that had someone acting like an asshat. Joe isn't able to determine exactly how much they were infected with the one asshat's attitude, so they should be kicked out as well.
Good analogy, but let's take it further.

Say Joe's Tavern is overrun with flesh eating zombies. Joe pulls out a shotgun and starts popping zombie heads all over the place. The patrons, who happen to be from a professional cricket team, all pull out cricket bats and start fighting off the zombies. The pitcher, Mike, wades into a particulary nasty swarm of zombies, decapitates 4 of them, but sustains a bite wound in the process. Since he is now infected with the zombie virus, he begs Joe to shoot him before he turns. Joe begins to cry, and says he can't do it. Mike is one of his oldest friends! He leaves Mike to rest in the corner.

Eventually, they clear out all the zombies. Joe goes to check on his old friend Mike, only to find that he died moments earlier. Through tears, Joe curses the zombies for taking his best friend from him. "You'll all pay for this!", he screams. As his shrieks carry into the night, he hears a low moaning from behind him. He twirls around to find Mike unsteadily coming to his feet, except it isn't Mike any more, it's a brain-hungry undead monster. Joe silently cocks the shotgun, aims, and fires. Zombie parts spray all over the wall. Joe knows he has done what he had to do, yet cannot shake the feeling that he has become a monster in his own way.

I think mine makes a bit more sense.

I did it 4 times, but according to the "records", says Gaile Gray, we did it 10+ times. Are you joking? I took screenshots of the times I did it as proof that it was a bug, and reported them. But oh, I get banned for 10 times. She herself said that I shouldn't be banned, yet support closes my support ticket. Ridiculous.

Why did you do it if you knew it was a bug? No reason to do it more than once if you knew so, you just busted yourself.

Wow. Please say you're kidding, or at the least exaggerating beyond belief. Tragedy? People being unable to play a game is tragic??? You really need to grow up, go outside and open your eyes a bit if you really think that. There are far far too many real tragedies in the world to think 117 people not getting their game fix is remotely tragic. Check your priorities...or get some.

Hey Alex, got some kitties? I think it's time for this to die already.

You can't accurately test a bug doing it once.

What difference does it make, according to Arena Net, I wasn't going to get banned for doing it 4 times, so why did I?

I reported it and deleted my items before this even went public, so what other excuse are you going to bring up?

I did it 4 times, which according to THE PEOPLE WHO BANNED ME, didn't deserve a ban. Yet they won't remove it?

I just like how people post in this thread like they have an idea of what is actually going on. You don't, why bother posting when your comments aren't based on factual information?

I guess your memory is failing you really bad.... since you got both accounts wrong... the trolling and the amount of times you used the exploit.

And I don't think you are a bad man, you were just in the wrong place at the wrong time.... X7.

Thanks, your opinion really motivates me to keep fighting. Seriously. And yeah, btw, did I mention that all the money I earned while doing that went to a shield that I gave to my PvP friend? Or that 6 of the 7 green items I got went to guildies? Nah, selflessness is never worth anything here.

"No! I must kill the demons" he shouted. The radio said "No, John. You are the demons." And then John was a zombie.

This thread has been significantly improved with these two posts.

i love all the people on this thread that think this is a joke. Do us all a favor, get some knowledge of the topic, think about it, post something about the topic that is educated. Put yourself in one of the banned persons shoes;. Would you not be fighting for your account back? All the hours you put into it. Would u not want anet to give you a second chance? Ask youself those questions before you post another stupid thread that is irrelevant. Thank you
